Nora Brooks-Slauter is a Scenic Designer, painter, and all-around Fine Artist with a deep love for all things arts and crafts. Born and raised in Chicago she is currently in her final year of her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Scene Design at The Theatre School at DePaul University, with a double minor in Art and Architecture History and Fine Art through DePaul’s College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. Nora’s time at DePaul has been spent honing her skills in set design, construction, props, and scenic painting. She thrives on any opportunity to work with her hands, relishing the process of transforming ideas into tangible creations.
Nora possesses a deep appreciation for the silly, whimsical, and absurd of the world, and her work aims to embrace that. She always looking to find the extraordinary in the ordinary which fuels her ability to think creatively and solve design challenges with innovative, silly, and most importantly, fun outside of the box solutions.
