Nora Brooks-Slauter is a Chicago-based Scenic Designer, scenic artist, and all-around Fine Artist with a deep love for all things arts and crafts. Nora is a graduate of The Theatre School at DePaul University, majoring in Scenic Design with a double minor in Art and History of Art and Architecture. Born and raised in Chicago, she is currently working as a freelance scenic designer, scenic painter, props artist, as well as assisting scenic designers around Chicago with Scenographic Drafting and model-building work.

 

Nora possesses a deep appreciation for the silly, whimsical, and absurd of the world, and her work aims to embrace that. She is always looking to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, which fuels her ability to think creatively and solve design challenges with innovative,  silly, and most importantly, fun outside-of-the-box solutions.
